How to Embed HTML into the Body of an Email

There’s a very simple way to embed your HTML Email Newsletters into the body of an email. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Once you have created your HTML code with Dreamweaver/Coda/any text editor, open up that HTML file in Safari.
  2. In Safari, go to File > Save As and save it as a .webarchive file.

    saveas

    webarchive
  3. Go to Finder and open the .webarchive file in Safari.
  4. While viewing the page in Safari, go to File > Share > Email this Page.

    emailthispage
  5. At this point Mail will open with a new email containing the HTML of the webpage in the body.

  1. I am a student worker in the Computer Services Labs at Missouri State University and have been helping an instructor trying to send a newsletter. I have followed your steps but the email is not sending the images. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    • Make sure your images are located on a remote server (like a folder on your website for instance). Then double check your path in your HTML is correct – you will need to write out the full source path for each image, for instance: img style=”border:none; display: block;” src=”http://www.websitename.com/newsletters/images/image1.jpg” alt=”imagename” title=”" height=”300″ width=”400″

      Hope this helps.
