Flora Woman’s Mini-Marathon

This year I’ve signed up to run the Flora Woman’s Mini Marathon in June. When deciding which charity I should run for, I came across the story of Izzy, a 5 day old puppy who was rescued by the Dublin SPCA from a group of youths who where using her as a football. I’m a strong advocate for the protection of animals so in light of this I’ve decided to run on behalf of the SPCA to help raise funds for their efforts. I’ve set up a sponsorship page at MyCharaties.ie and I’m aiming to raise €500 for my cause. If you’d like to chip in and help sponsor me, I will be utterly grateful – you can visit my sponsorship page here. Any donation you can make, no matter how small, will be put to good use.

Izzy - 5 days old here. She's doing much better.

6 June 2011: An update on the Mini Marathon – I ran it today with a good friend of mine keeping me company. With the help of some wonderful people we raised over €200 (R2000) for the Dublin SPCA. Thank you everyone for your donations – it meant a lot to me.
