Hi, I’m Karen.

I was born in Durban, South Africa and grew up in Johannesburg. A few years ago I moved to Dublin, Ireland. Although I love Dublin, I won’t be here much longer though – I’m moving to Gibraltar in early 2012. Yay for warm weather.

I’ve been a graphic designer for about 10 years and have been freelancing for about 6 years. Feel free to click over to my portfolio site (soon to be redesigned), Omega Red. I work exclusively on a Mac, using the Abobe CS5 tools and a Wacom 21″ Cintiq.

I recently just got married so I now go by the name of Karen Mareš – I’ll be transitioning all my online accounts to this new name over time…

Art and design are a big part of my life, but I enjoy other things too – I play the guitar, read (a lot), enjoy visiting interesting places when I can. That’s about it – I’m a pretty simple gal.
